Near Elounda, the rugged landscapes of Cape Aforesmenos offer a challenging hike with open sea views and a historic lighthouse. Join NatureSoul Adventures for a 14 km circular route that combines coastal scenery, local stories and a Cretan welcome in Vrouchas village.

A Coastal Trail with Character

Follow rocky paths across hillsides and along the coast, with panoramic views of the Cretan Sea. Your local guide shares stories about the area’s history, legends and landscape as you make your way towards Aforesmenos Lighthouse.

Standing above the sea, the lighthouse offers a memorable setting to pause, take photographs and appreciate this remote stretch of coastline.

The route includes uneven ground and changes in elevation. Good physical fitness and previous hiking experience are required.

Afternoon Light and a Village Welcome

This experience runs exclusively in the afternoon, allowing you to enjoy the changing light over the rocky landscape and surrounding sea.

After completing the circular route, finish at a traditional café in Vrouchas with a complimentary Cretan treat and a well-deserved rest. The full experience lasts approximately 4 hours.
